Washingtonian Pledge

De Washingtonians was een organisatie uit 1840, vergelijkbaar met AA mu. Ze groeiden als kool, maar rond 1847 hielden ze zo'n beetje op te bestaan. Het belangrijkste verschil met AA was, dat ze geen equivalent hadden van AA's Tradities. Vooral de afwezigheid van een primair hoofddoel, zoals bij AA vastgelegd in de Vijfde Traditie, heeft de Washingtonians de das om gedaan.
